I have tried all brand hams in the last year or so and the double g ham was by far the most flavorful ham that I have found! Even hams that were twice the cost were not as good!

HAM THAT TASTES LIKE HAM USED TO TASTE
For decades, we've been using our age-old family recipe to cure only the choicest hams. Our hams are trimmed until fully lean, then cured and slowly smoked for hour upon hour using either pure hickory or our secret blend of select hardwoods. We refuse to use artificial smoke flavoring.
Once the ham is cooked to perfection, it is removed from our smokehouse at just the right moment and packaged. We believe you'll agree that tasting a Double G ham will transport you to a simpler time when quality and flavor truly mattered.
THE DOUBLE G STORY
In 1958, Glenn A. Gatzert started producing quality hams. His secret has always been to use natural ingredients to preserve the taste of a full-flavored ham. To do this, we maintain the correct balance of salt and sugar, specifically brown sugar and cane sugar, to achieve a mellow, sweet taste.
Beyond our ingredient formulation, our products also boast unique features. We allow our hams to cure after they’re injected for at least 24-48 hours. This allows for a complete distribution of cure to every fiber of the muscle, and it eliminates the possibility of under-cured hams. We have chosen to remain with natural hickory smoke instead of liquid smoke, which gives our hams a delicious, smoked flavor all the way through the ham.
In 2020, Cedar Hollow Foods purchased the Double G brand from the Gatzert family. Cedar Hollow has been making quality hams in Lincoln, NE, since 1991 and plans to continue the long tradition of Double G brand hams. Thanks for stopping by, and we hope to have you as a customer for a very long time!
